Sorry, haven't been any posts recently. Been busy moving into my new house. This post is to say that I have a new website. http://skills4u.terapad.com It is basically a portfolio of my work in design and art. I'm also selling e-books on the new site, containing writing tips and also my own books I have written! The site isn't complete yet. I will let you know when the e-books are ready. One of my e-books will be on How to beat Writers Block.
I have done some writing recently, amongst moving furniture :) Sometimes it can be hard to think of ideas and inspiration. I was having a moment like this, so I decided to write from someone's point of view (POV) I find this can be a trigger for a great short story, a prompt, or even a novel! I started jotting a few POV ideas down and one seemed to be very inspirational to me. I decided to write about someone on the Titanic and their own experience. It was an emotional piece and I've actually thought of a book idea from just a page of writing! It is also another way of beating Writers Block, take an event in time, something traumatic perhaps, then make up a name. I choose Susan and her fiance John. I then just let the words flow, not pausing or editing, just let your mind roam.
